Archipelago Creamery

Angela ever visit Archipelago Creamery and highly recommend it. Angela and Florence suggest this is a must go when they came over to my place for stay over. We went on Sunday after dinner for desserts. This is the first time my parents visit such café, and were surprised such café exist in community club. The theme of the café was nautical. We were lucky there wasn’t many people and many seats were available.

My brother and I ordered Waffle with Ice-cream (Milo and What the Fudge flavour) and Ferrero Shibuya Toast for sharing. The girls were afraid they can’t finish the waffle and opt for cone/cup type, they had Mint and Cookie Monster flavour.

The waffle was soft but not crispy. A few ice-cream parlour I visit always had crispy waffle and I prefer it to be crispy too. The milo flavour was the best I ever found, the chocolate flavour does not break through the milo taste and it has crunchy bite in it. What the Fudge contains abit of dark chocolate, it’s nice when you pair it with the waffles.

It’s my first time trying Shibuya Toast and it’s damn nice. Bread inside bread and it’s hot & crispy too. I finish everything even though I’m full, I just can’t resist the hot crispy bread.

It’s walking distance from my home and I can visit Archipelago Creamery whenever I’m craving for waffle ice-cream. Furthermore, it opens till mid-night.

Archipelago Creamery is located at Nanyang Community Club, 60 Jurong West Street 91 #01-09.

Fun Weekend (29 July to 1 August 2016)

Over the weekend, my cousins Angela and Florence came over to my place for stay over as their parents went overseas. They are close to my family ever since they are babies, and they like coming over to our place too. We had so much fun during these 4 days 3 nights. Both of them asked my mum to play mah-jong with them by saying it’s a good activity to exercise her brain cells. We played for 2 days and no money was involved.

On Saturday morning, we went Jurong Point for breakfast before Angela goes to her Uni Pre-Camp. I wanted to go Swensen’s but it was under renovation. I was craving for western food and luckily The Manhattan Fish Market was opened and we decided to try that.

We ordered Cream of Mushroom, Cajun Wings, Mac & Cheese and their breakfast, Smoked Salmon Sharing Platters and Eggs Benedict Sharing Platters. The food did not disappoint us and my parents enjoyed it too. Although the Cajun Wings looks burned but the taste was fine. The Mac & Cheese has spicy taste, it was so delicious that I had to snatch with Angela as she’s a cheese lover.

The Smoked Salmon was not fully raw, I had never tried this kind of cooking method before and I like it. My mum whom do not like raw food were able to accept it too. The sausages had cheese in it and it will be better if it melt when cut. The poached eggs were everyone favourite, the yolk flow out when we cut into half.

Total damages was $53.20 and I find the price reasonable for 5 person.
