Re-cap for Year 2015

Time passes real fast, it's December now. A re-cap what happen in year 2015.

January - February
* Spring cleaning the house
* Shopping and preparing for Chinese New Year
* Went to did my hair at Kimage Prestige
* Manicure at Beauty Bar located at Jurong Point

March
Department Team Building on 30 March. Organiser planned 2 activities for us. In the morning, we went to Home Team NS(Bukit Batok) and did Laser Quest. Boss treated us to Nasi Lemak at her friend's restaurant, love the sambal chilli. Around 2pm we proceed to "Lost" an escape room game. It was so tiring and next day we still gotta work. The most memorable for this team building is not the activities or food, is my colleague cum buddy who took 3 days urgent leave after that(she really lack of exercise and damn lazy).

April - May
* Went soap making workshop with Cindy and learn how to make natural soap.
* Was invited by Alan to attend a business seminar.
* Took Isotonix to improve my eczema (http://rachealtay.blogspot.com/2015/10/healing-eczema-and-psoriasis-with.html)

June - July
* Ellie's solemnisation on 6 July 2015
* Sign up as Market Singapore Unfranchise Owner
* Was really angry with 3 of my friends. I never forgot their birthday and will always celebrate for them. When it's my birthday, they totally forget and only realise when others wish me in my facebook. It hurts me alot, I was there whenever they needed but they can't even remember my birthday.
* My cousins Angela and Florence came over to my place to stay overnight and it just came to our mind to organise a family trip to Taiwan. We search for the air tickets via Scoot and immediately we booked tickets to Taiwan in end September.

August
* Discussion on our Taiwan itinerary. It's not simple, as we met for 2 weekends to plan and look for transport services
* Attend Skincare 101, and gain knowledge on the right way to care for the skin

September - October
* Family trip to Taiwan on 26 Sep to 3 Oct. Met typhoon on 28 Sep
* Organise my own Skincare home party on 30 Oct (http://rachealtay.blogspot.com/2015/11/discover-beauty-skincare-home-party-on.html)

November - December
Unhappy month for me, don't wish to pen it down.
* Experience ear blockage, can't hear with my left ear. Went Jurong Medical Centre, doctor diagnose due to ear wax harden. Can't do vaccum on my 1st and 2nd visit as the wax was too hard to be suck out. Hopefully my 3rd visit will be the last visit.
* Got an opportunity to help out at a joint forum. Great teamwork to ensure the event goes well smoothly and nice working with the ladies.

2016 Chinese New Year will be on 8 - 9 Feb. Going to be busy with spring cleaning, shopping and preparing.

For the past 2 years, my life was like a roller coaster. Things I never thought of happening, did happen in my life. Previously I was a carefree person with no worries, but through the rides I became more mature and independent. My biggest wish is hoping my family members to be healthy.

Should I look forward to year 2016? I really got no idea.

Humidifier

1 year ago when I joined my current company, I bought a Bottle Caps Humidifier as I don't like the environment in my office. The mist is not strong but it had been a great help by keeping me moisture from the air-con room.

Last week it break down, I tired saving it a few times but still can't work. I went Qoo10 to search for a new one. This time I wanted a stronger mist since I find it very useful in an air-con office. This white fellow attracted my attention and I invested $23.90 (saw 1 shop at IMM selling S$68).

I got it within 2 days, opened the box and try it out the next day. I love the strong mist and it allows me to adjust how strong I wanted the mist to be. This cute fellow will change into 4 colours and it beautify my workstation. It save my trouble, as now I only need to refill the water every 3 days. Disadvantage of this white fellow is, if I refill the tank with new water, the mist will not be strong. I got to empty the excess water at the bottom, then the mist will be strong at first level.

Innisfree Perfumed Diffuser

Bought 2 Innisfree Perfumed Diffuser at Takashimaya outlet during my recent shopping spree.

I love sweet smell. Cherry Blossom and Cotton Blossom attracts me the most, therefore got both for my home. 1 bottle costs me S$30 and the reed stick costs S$3 each, which I find quite expensive. It should be cheaper if were to get it in Korea. You can get 1 packet of reed stick, which is enough for 2 bottles.

I had displayed the diffuser for 2 days, the scent is not strong and can't really smell when I walked into my home as I placed at my walk-in balcony. Gotta find out the real problem, whether is it the inconsiderate neighbour who does not know the basic hygiene(damn smelly shoes, etc) or is it the diffuser scent is not strong enough.

*Note: Seem like only outlet at Takashimaya carries the diffuser.

Pony Memebox Lipstick

Chance upon this brand Pony Memebox lipstick, while I was purchasing Innisfree lipsticks from Qoo10.

White, simple and elegant. It's moisturise and does not make the lip look dry. I love the colour and was happy it suit me, as buying online does not allow you to try out. Sadly to mention the colour do not stay long.

My cousin was surprised when I post it in my instagram and thought it was expensive. The price was reasonable and it cost me only S$16.90.

I love lipsticks. I don't makeup, but putting lipstick is important for me as it will give me radiant.

Recently I bought quite alot of lipsticks and will review other brands soon when I received and use it.

Discover Beauty - A Skincare Home Party on 31 October 2015

Organised a skincare home party on 31 Oct 2015 for my girl friends.

The event started at 4.45pm as some of the guests were super late, and ended around 7.30pm. It was a pity we did not managed to do the makeup session as time was running out. But I'm glad the event turned out well and the ladies gain alot of skincare knowledge from the home party.

Below are some of the photos taken at the skincare home party.

Healing Eczema and Psoriasis with Isotonix

In Year 2003, an uncommon skin disease called Eczema entered my life. My life changes overnight and it affect my daily life. I had to deal with itchiness, red marks, weird look from strangers and many more. Even my family members felt disgusting with the red marks all over my body. I love wearing skirts but after having eczema, I had to wear long pants and long sleeves to cover the red marks. Eczema is on and off for me, out of sudden it will heal by itself, out of sudden it will outbreak and I had to suffer the itchiness all over again and it affected my sleep too. Nobody understands the pain I'm going through, only blaming me for getting this skin disease.

I went to numerous doctors (western & eastern) to find out the cause and hoping to cure it. I had spent more than S$20k. All doctors I visited responded that there were no cure and it's lifetime. I do not want to resign to this fate. At that point of time, people do not have the knowledge what is eczema about. From my observation, around year 2013, more and more people are diagnose with either eczema or psoriasis.

I had a friend whom had the same problem as me, she also suffers for years, we will always exchange information with each other. Her husband Alan also a colleague of mine, joined Market Singapore in January 2015 and recommended her to drink a few supplements hoping to cure her eczema.

Late April 2015, 3 of us met up for dinner and they shared the experience with me. She told me Isotonix OPC-3 was 1 of the products she was drinking but gave up after a few days as the side effects was unbearable(very itchy as the body is detoxing all the poison in the body). Alan asked me a few questions that he suspected that causes my eczema and recommended me a few products to address to the symptoms first. I had constipation and can't sleep well at night. Sleep is very important for an eczema and psoriasis patient.

The products are expensive, therefore I was hesitating whether to give it a try. I started taking Isotonix in Mid-May 2015 and paid about S$300 purchasing 6 types of products. I was so glad with my decision as there is great improvement in my skin condition after 3 months.

My constipation improves and now I will visit the toilet at least once a day. I sleep throughout the night and waking up afresh. With the improvement in my symptoms, the redness is slowly healing and most of the skin areas were cleared. As the legs skin are more thicker, therefore my legs areas are not completely heal yet(the marks are darker which mean it's in healing process, a good sign). I will not give up on Isotonix as I believe 1 day I will say goodbye to eczema, back to my normal life and start wearing skirts again.

You can email me at rachealtay@gmail.com, if you will like to know how to heal eczema or psoriasis.

  * Did not expect the post date to change as I wanted to delete the website.

Isotonix OPC-3 and OPC-3 Beauty Blend

As mentioned in my previous post I will be introducing you 2 supplements which is more powerful than collagen.

I had been taking Isotonix supplements for the past 5 months as I have severe eczema problem. My friend introduced Isotonix to me as his wife had the same problem too. I was hesitated to try at first as it was expensive. I really wanted to cure my eczema problem as it had been with me for more than 10 years. I purchased a few supplements from him to address some of the issues that might led to my eczema.

Amazingly, not only did the products slowly cure my eczema problem. I discovered that Isotonix can do even more than that.

I was very happy to see great improvements in my skin after 3 months. My face are getting more radiant, pores are getting smaller too. There was once I met up with one of my ex-colleague for dinner and she commented my face look dewy.

A brief description of Isotonix OPC-3 and OPC-3 Beauty Blend :

Isotonix OPC-3

Isotonix OPC-3 is an isotonic-capable food supplement that is made from a combination of bilberry, grape seed, red wine, pine bark extracts and citrus bioflavonoid complex, all found to be potent antioxidants. Oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs) are bioflavonoids (complex organic plant compounds) found in fruits, vegetables and certain tree barks that provide nutritional benefits to the human body. Studies have shown OPCs to be more powerful than vitamin C and vitamin E in neutralising free radicals. Isotonix OPC-3 is the leading isotonic product to contain Pycnogenol™ in the world. Pycnogenol is a natural plant extract from the bark of the French maritime pine tree and the most researched bioflavonoid.

Isotonix OPC-3 is a powerful antioxidant. Its promotes cardiovascular and joint health, helps maintain healthy cholesterol and blood glucose levels, supports blood vessel function and supports a healthy complexion.

Isotonix OPC-3 Beauty Blend

Isotonix OPC-3 Beauty Blend is a revolutionary product that helps to improve and maintain the appearance of healthy skin from the inside. It uses free-radical-scavenging antioxidants and some of the most researched OPCs. These nutrients are derived from grapes, bilberries, Pycnogenol (pine bark) and citrus fruit. In addition to being good antioxidants, these OPCs also promote skin health.

Antioxidants found in Isotonix OPC-3 Beauty Blend scavenge free radicals within cells and promote healthy cells. The OPCs support your skin's natural ability to regenerate. Isotonix OPC-3 Beauty Blend helps to replenish the skin's vitamins and minerals which promote the growth and health of skin cells. It promotes a strong vascular network in the skin, thus supporting the elasticity and collagen of the skin.

Trust me, you will fall in love with Isotonix like I do.

Bella Skin Care (Singapore)

It's my 10th session with Bella Skin Care since Dec 2014. I was searching for a facial salon that does removal of milia seeds. I did laser before to remove the milia seeds and was really scared to go through the process again, therefore was looking for another alternative. Many bloggers commented that Bella provide free removal of milia seeds when doing facial with them. I went for the first consulation and signed a package worth of $3k plus.

At my 3rd session, I met this beautician and we chat throughout the treatment. She told me I have alot of milia seeds on my face and should go for laser. I told her I thought it can be removed by you when doing facial, sadly to hear from her, she said it's not possible. She remind me not to eat too much oily food and meat and it's better to change my diet to more veggies.

No choice I gotta wait for this package to finish and find another better beauty salon as there are a few things I don't like with them. 1 of them is their extractions of black heads. It is not clean enough. Previously I tried those beauty salon located at neighbourhood, their extraction are so clean and I need not clear it myself for the next 3 weeks.

Oh ya, I almost forgot this lady, she is those senior consultant introducing and pursuing customers to sign package with them. I don't like her as it's very clearly the message from her body language and expression, she look down on those who are not rich(that's me).

The only things I like when going there is I can relax with their massage. The improvement on my skin is not through the treatment at Bella, it's a products I had been drinking for past 5 months. I was introduce to this products by my friend. It's more powerful than collagen. I will blog it soon to share with you.

Skinfood Fresh Fruit Lip & Cheek Trio

I love buying makeup, especially lipsticks, lip gloss & lip balm.
Saw Kevin老师 recommended this during one of the episode in 女人我最大. I bought online as Singapore outlet do not have and furthermore it's much more cheaper buying online.
It's a small tin of 2.5g. It's so light and convenient to carry around.
I brought it along with me during my recent holiday in Taiwan. It's moisturising and helps my dry lips. The colours are visible after applying on the lips (same lip balm colour are not visible enough), therefore 1 small tin with 3 colours, you can apply depending on your mood that day.
*PS, It can be apply on your cheeks as blusher too.

High Tea Session at Chinese Swimming Club

Had the privilege to go “Man Zhu” located at Chinese Swimming Club for High-Tea session. KB husband is the club member and she ever mention...
